- Playing: Relic Ball (Duh)
Opening up CommissionsHey guys,
I am starting down a new and unknown road. After 2 years of working at ootii, a company I help start - I have decided it is time to move on and pursue different paths. So starting immediately I will be focusing on freelancing and commission work.
I have never really delved much deeper than light client work so if anyone has any advice as to places to go or people to ask I would be happy to hear and discuss it. In the mean time I will be asking around and trying to figure it all out. I think one of the smarter things to do in the mean time is hone up on painting skills and pull together as killer a portfolio as I can muster. If I figure out anything I will try and document it as best I can.
Wish me luck! In the meantime here is my current portfolio progress. Check it out and critique, please!
If you are interested in setting up a commission or freelance contract feel free to note me here or email me at SCPellicogmail(DOT)com
Thanks for the support :
Relic Ball is Finished!Hey everyone, by now I suspect your tired of me talking about the game, but this might possibly be the last but probably the biggest announcement of them all. The game I have been working on for the past *mumble* years is finally done and out.
https://apps.facebook.com/relicball/ (the game, wewt!)
It underwent a pretty significant trial period, but Relic Ball finally here for everyone to play. With over 50 levels, a ton of treasures to find, and a lot of cool puzzles I wanted to recommend it to all you awesome watchers. I worked hard on it and hope you enjoy it.
Beware though, the game starts out simple, but there are some pretty hard levels in the mix.
If you have any problems with it, love it, hate it, want to troll me - whatever. Please comment or note me below. I would love to hear your opinions on it, discuss art choices, level design etc. If you want to be a real cool kid, forward it o your friends. We don't have the crazy $budgets$ of big companies so we have a hard time reachin
Kickstarter! We ran a successful 10000$ campaign last year, but it was one of the most stressful periods of our company's life. This blog might be useful to people who are interested in following a similar path and is taken from a post I did recently at a different site. It was written in response to a general question of what someone needed to do to get their campaign to work. I wanted to document his elsewhere in case it is lost.
So you want your game to be Kickstarted. What do you need to do?
1. Prepare to halt all production on the game and put 100% effort into getting the word out. What does that mean?
- Get a press release out, this helps a little bit.
- Contact local newspapers digital or rags and find an editor or writer who frequently publishes tech related stuff. Best to have a legitimate reason behind why you are worth a story.
- Get on twitter and start making friends. If the campaign is already started, it is way too late for this to have an effect. It takes a long ti

New Website!Hey! You know what you should do? You should head over to the brand spankin' Relic Ball facebook community page and like us! It's basically the coolest place on the planet.
Anyhow we share cool new pictures and development info on there so you might find it interesting if game development has ever struck your fancy.
Thanks for the like!
I have a few new drawings accumulating in the corner that I'll eventually get up on here. I wanted a bigger pool of them because its basically going to be a sketch dump of... charcoal drawings! Yeah Charcoal. I havent touched the stuff in a few years and I have all these left over art supplies from school. So I want to use them all up and return to the roots. I forgot how hard it is to work traditionally with these mediums. Ugh, dat feeling when you make a horrible line mistake and your stomach pit gets all cold when you realize there ain't no undo button.
Have a good holiday break.
For Clementine!***POSSIBLE SPOIILERS ON The Walking Dead videogame by TellTale Games***
If you have not played The Walking Dead by Telltale. Do your self a favor and experience it. If you can handle the extreme violence and language of TWD universe you owe it to yourself. I promise you won't be disappointed.
I don't know what else to say other than acknowledge how moving and poignant it is. And I am usually a cynical gamer prone to eye rolls and chortling in the midst of those melodramatic "emotional scenes". But TWD is different. The choices the player has to make are exhausting and they put other games' choices to shame (I'm looking at you Mass Effect).
If I had one massive disappointment , it's not so much about gameplay or graphics, rather, it's a disappointment that the story has to exist in TWD universe. You see, TWD is about the ongoing lives of an ever swapping group of characters as they just kind of... survive the end of the world... with zomb--er walkers/biters/undead-- eh, the

We are nearing a pretty cool milestone of 200 likes and we are doing our best to provide new content for people following us.
So take a chance and stop by and say hello. We could use the support.
If you have any suggestions for places, people, or artifacts/treasures you would like to see in the final game post there or message me here! I am always checking out the page. I try my best to answer all the comments, but sometimes I push it to later and forget about it. I apologize for that.
As always I would love to hear from you so send me a message anytime!

I’ve realized over the years that I can’t draw everything myself, and I’ve damaged my hands by trying to draw all of my comics on my own. My followers are always asking when the next chapter of Fisheye Placebo or Knite is coming out, and it always pains me to say not yet. I can’t draw for more than a few hours a day now before the pain sets in.
I’m still determined to finish the comics I started, but I know I’m going to need help. I’ve been dabbling in 3D backgrounds for Fisheye Placebo, but I still had to build them myself, which is very time consuming and damaging to my hands in different ways.
I’ve been thinking a lot and I want to move my comic creating techniques to the next level and incorporate both 3D characters and 3D backgrounds. I’m not the most skilled when it comes to 3D programs, and I don’t have the time or health to create all the models myself, so I am looking

Updates as of October2009: Missing Halloween's story was created. Discontinued.
2010: Attempted to rework in 3D. Failed. Discontinued.
2013: Revived and started the animation production. Didn't reach Halloween. Hiatus.
2014: Resumed and held a contest. Didn't reach Halloween. Hiatus.
2015: Resumed. Missing Halloween didn't miss Halloween!
For the past month, me and Negyek were hard at work, day and night, to finish Missing Halloween. Later on, Procrastacat and VenBright were hired to give various voices for the ending scene. All of these are, of course, paid jobs, thanks to my Patreon supporters.
By November 29, the animation is officially done. All 8+ minutes of it.
The 'FNAF Sister Location' Anti-Hate RantOK, so everyone should have seen Scott's new teaser by now.
I was not going to write about this originally (so forgive me for rushing this journal), since I figured that literally everyone knows about the news by now, but the way people are announcing it and reacting to it disturbs me. I thought we were better than this, but I guess not.
Literally everywhere I go today, everyone I've seen is spamming memes like and saying that Scott is milking the series and beating a dead horse. Even people who have "left" the FNAF fandom and have decided to pop back in just to put in their discouraging, even hating, opinions. It's so bad, that I feel people are hating JUST because it has become cool to hate, as some kind of herd mentality.
Well guess what? It doesn't matter what anyone thinks! Scott is clearly going to do what Scott is going to do! The amount of hate th

Notes on Character Design
I received the question pictured below at my tumblr blog. In case it's useful to anyone here, I decided to go ahead and use this otherwise dormant journal to share the article I put together in response.
Character design and drawing are tome-sized topics and even if I had all the answers (I don't - I have a lot to learn), I'm not sure I could communicate them effectively. Here are some thoughts an ideas that might help, though.
First, some general things...
Let some of that anxiety go. This isn't a hard science. There's no wrong way,
